Privacy Policy Generator
Answer a few questions about your site and get a privacy policy draft with the sections most websites need. Pick India, EU and UK, US or a general version. Review it, fill in the brackets and have a lawyer check it before you publish.
How this tool works
What this tool produces
A starting draft built from your answers: what data you collect, why, who you share it with, how long you keep it, and what rights people have under the law you pick. It comes as plain text and as HTML you can paste into a page.
Choose the region that matches your visitors
- India: written around the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
- EU and UK: written around the GDPR and UK GDPR, including legal bases and the right to complain to a regulator.
- United States: written around US state privacy laws such as California. Laws differ by state and by business size.
- General: a plain version for a mixed audience.
Do these steps before publishing
- Fill in every [bracketed] item. The tool lists them under the result.
- Make sure each statement is true for your site. If you do not run a cookie banner, remove the sentence that says you do.
- Match the list of tools to the ones you actually use.
- Have a qualified lawyer in your country review it.
- Link the policy in your footer and next to every form that collects data.
This is a template and not legal advice. Laws change and apply differently to each business.

Common questions
Do I need a privacy policy?
Almost every website that collects personal data needs one. This includes contact forms, analytics, cookies, newsletters and accounts. Several laws and ad platforms require it.
Is the generated policy legally valid?
It is a draft. It follows the usual structure for the region you pick, but only a lawyer can confirm it fits your business and the current law.
Which law applies to my website?
It depends on where your visitors live and where you operate, not only where your server is. A site with visitors in India, the EU and the US may fall under all three.
What are the bracketed items?
They are details only you know, such as your address, retention period or tools. The tool lists them so you can fill them in.
Is my information stored?
No. The policy is built in your browser from your answers. Nothing is sent to a server.
