Roofing is a high-ticket, high-trust job. A homeowner with a leak calls fast. A homeowner planning a full replacement compares three contractors for weeks. Your search presence has to serve both.
You can take more jobs, answer calls quickly and show finished work.
Pages and profiles built on addresses you do not have break Google's guidelines, and homeowners notice.
I focus on the pages and profile signals that bring in jobs: service pages for repair, replacement and storm damage, city pages with real local detail, a Google profile that earns calls, and tracking that shows which source paid.
No obligation · 30-minute call · Direct with me, not an account managerA roof is a big spend, and most homeowners want a contractor they can verify. They look for photos of finished work, reviews that mention the town, licence and insurance information and a clear warranty.
Roofers also appear in Google's Local Services Ads categories in the US, where the model charges per lead and Google verifies the business. That puts a paid option beside organic, and the two work well together.
Be careful with service-area pages. Google's guidelines tell service-area businesses to hide their address and warn that the service area should not extend much beyond about two hours' drive. A page for every city within a state, with identical text, is a thin-content problem and a mismatch with where you actually work.
Reality check. Storm-season demand spikes fast. Pages and profile fixes need to be live before the season starts, not after the first hail event.

| Line item | What it should do | What to ask for |
|---|---|---|
| City pages | Rank for roofing in a town | Real local content and real projects in that town |
| Project gallery | Prove the work | Photos with location and roof type, with the owner's consent |
| Blog posts | Answer homeowner questions | Topic tied to a service page |
| Google profile | Appear in the map pack | Service area setup and photo plan |
| Lead reporting | Show jobs won | Job counts by source, not clicks |
Homeowners now ask AI tools how much a roof costs and who to trust.

Five blocks, each scoped in writing.
One page for each roofing service: when it is needed, what it involves, materials, typical timeline, cost factors, warranty and next step.
Pages only for towns you serve, each with local projects, building styles and weather issues. No identical pages with a changed city name.
Correct categories, service area, hidden address where required, project photos and a review request after each job.
Licence, insurance, warranty and manufacturer credential details placed where homeowners decide.
Call tracking and form events in GA4, so you see which source produced estimates and jobs.

Closest published proof: I worked on EZ Flood Restoration, a 24/7 water damage service in California, and EZ Leak Detection. They are home-service sites, not roofers, and I have no published numbers for them.
